When you are in the elevator and someone asks what you do, how do you describe yourself?

I make ceramics on a wheel and they are not for use.

How have you gotten your work into galleries?

The same thing that happened with us, is how it’s worked every time. If I reach out to so,body it’s either ignored or not responded to. I literally just sit and wait until somebody reaches out to me. It’s mostly online and Instagram.

In order to survive as an artist is there a certain amount of t of hustle that is needed?

Yes but I think the hustle can be socially and also in your practice.

How much time do you dedicate to being in the studio on an average week?

20 to 30 hours.

And what does that time look like for you?

I will throw for a month. And then once that’s all trimmed and done and dried then I spend a month glazing stuff.

Outside of the studio, how much time are you devoting to promotion and getting your work into the world?

Maybe 2 hours a week. I mean it’s really only a couple of posts a week on Instagram. I should be a lot more, but.
