I’m going to let you in to a BIG SECRET during my forthcoming workshop, Drawing and Painting on Clay. I will share with you step by step, my unique method of illustrating on to clay. I don’t use ceramic crayons or underglaze pens. I follow a technique which I researched and developed during my student days at Edinburgh College of Art. It’s a technique which allows me to draw with the freedom of a child, making marks where the qulaity of the line is as important as the drawing, scribing lines on to the clay without even seeing what I’m drawing.
