Meghan Yarnell grew up in Northwest Ohio. Many of her happiest childhood memories include the time she spent exploring the field, creek, and woods behind her home. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2005 with a degree in 3D studies and has been teaching art in the public school system ever since. She is currently working as a high school ceramics teacher in Perrysburg, Ohio where she maintains a home studio alongside her husband and three children.

Kerri’s journey into ceramics began in 2019 with a Visual Arts Diploma, where she discovered an unexpected affinity for clay. Post-diploma, Kerri embarked on a self-guided exploration of hand-building techniques, refining her unique artistic voice. Kerri’s work, branded under the name Nioka Clay, has been showcased internationally, including exhibitions in Paris with 1000 Vases and in Perth with Anfisa Design. Her pieces feature in styling campaigns and adorn prestigious designer homes. Kerri continues to explore new dimensions in ceramics, blending her diverse inspirations into future creations that promise to captivate and inspire.

Matthew Gaddie’s work exists inside the frame and philosophy of practicality. It communicates the underlying connection Matthew sees between the rural, hard-working days of his youth and the life he want to live as an artist. The cyclical pattern of throwing, trimming, glazing, and firing are comfortable for him. Matthew is a farmed-raised laborer who has wonderful memories of planting, weeding and harvesting.  In the age of quick marts, high speed connections, fast food, one-stop shopping, Matthew tries to live his life slowly and with purpose. In a time of massed produced uniformity, Matthew tries to create works that are unique, each piece having recorded its own tale of creation, a tale of struggles, of successes, of failures, of imperfections and of hopes… it is a human tale.
