Lisa Tantillo & Zack Callaghan | Episode 553
Calou Calay is the collaborative work of engaged couple Lisa Tantillo and Zack Callaghan. After 5 years on the art circuit they have developed a series of thrown and altered work inspired by a monster lore ranging from the of Boo Hag of the Carolinas to the Yokai Oni of Japan. The artists capture these creatures in clay as a means of exploring the human psyche and honoring the traditions of storytelling.
Potters and makers put great effort into making their work just so. Careful attention is given to weight, texture, color, and a thousand other details. And then it comes time to release it into the world. And now it comes time for the actual presentation to the world. If you are selling through a booth, then the design of a booth becomes critical. Lisa and Zack talk through this critical issue and give us insights into how they have designed and built their booth. From their perspective, the booth design has been a critical part of their success.
