Here in the Pacific Northwest we had a rare snow day in April… It hasn’t snowed here in April in the last 80 years! So I decided to a random invitation through my Instagram Stories to my followers to see who would like to jump on Zoom for a short conversation. I picked the first responses. You will find that these people are amazing! Kelly Beierman, Katrina Frigeria, Diego Valles, Deepika Dhoolypala, Megan Baig, and Morghan Gray all raised their hands and I am so happy they did.

Katrina Frigeria

Katrina Frigeria is a part-time potter and pottery teacher in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her relationship to pottery is a whole experience: it’s not just about making art and functional pottery, but it’s also a practice of growth, of being honest and vulnerable, stripping art and thoughts and feelings down to the core. It’s a practice of looking inward and constant improvement.

Morghan Gray

Morghan Gray grew up in a military household, which means she moved around a lot… from the orange groves of Florida, the swamps of Georgia, and to the mountains of Washington. The one constant that moved around with the family was Morghan’s Mom’s love of mid-nineties country kitsch. Morgan’s work is inspired by the images and designs her Mom used to decorate their many homes.
