A listener to The Potters Cast was telling me how the show had made a difference in her life. In one of the episodes our guest had mentioned that taking on a huge commision job had turned out to be a bigger project than anticipated. That reminded me of a quote that says, Whenever you say ‘Yes” to something, you are in essence saying “No” to absolutely everything else. So in the course of the conversation with my guest I dropped that little truism into our dialogue. It was that quote that stopped the listener in her tracks and she realized that she was saying “Yes” far too often and to the detriment of other critical things in her life. She went on to tell me that she immediately stopped what she was doing, grabbed pen and paper, and wrote out a list of priorities for her life. She stopped with all the yesses and started to be focused and productive.
